We are a certified organic family farm in Southeast SD raising poultry for fresh organic eggs and pasture raised chicken, forage, small grains, berries, and vegetables. Pasture-raised chickens are fed a wholesome balanced vegetarian diet ration supplemented with forage on our poultry farm.
We are a true field-to-fork farm. We raise the birds outdoors and process on farm under certified organic handling. We use food-grade hydrogen peroxide as a sanitizer and no additives.
When you buy from us, you are investing in pollinator habitat. 10% of all profits goes back into developing critical pollinator habitat for bees, butterflies, and many other beneficial insects. We have the largest no spray zone in the county for honey bee habitat.
We hold to the highest standards of organic agriculture production. We have been under the strict oversight of Midwest Organic Services Association for ten years. Our animals are humanely raised on pasture and allowed to exhibit natural behavior outdoors year-round. We take loving care of the animals in many ways and they get to have regular human interaction. Our eggs are hand-gathered, hand-washed, and hand-packed under SDDA licensing. Meat processing takes place under sanitary organic handling conditions on the farm in a semi-portable processing plant.
